Why Not Rent Catering Equipment

Contract Rental Is Commonplace So Why Not Rent Catering Equipment?

The concept of contract rental and leasing has been around for years and is accepted by many people and businesses to get a range of products such as cars, photocopiers, IT equipment and more. And what we offer is no different, so why not rent your catering equipment?

Our range of rental options start at 2 year contracts, and offer the same range of benefits that you would expecting if you were getting another piece of business equipment which we’ll explore in a bit more detail.

Save your upfront costs

Catering equipment can be an expensive outlay, particularly if you need more than one item or a complete new kitchen. Catering equipment rental from us requires a small deposit and then depending on your contract options either weekly or monthly payments. This lets you save on the large upfront cost while still getting you the equipment you need now, and leaves you with capital to invest elsewhere in your business, vital in the current climate.

You’re covered for maintenance

You don’t need to worry about spare parts and maintenance. It’s a fact that catering equipment breaks down, however under a rental agreement if something breaks, we’ll get it fixed. If we can’t fix it we’ll replace it. Like IT equipment or vehicles in many businesses, it’s a huge inconvenience if something breaks and can have severe consequences to your day-to-day operations, so why take the risk with your catering equipment?

End of contract options

As with renting or leasing other equipment you are left with a range of different options when you get to the end of your contract:

  • The simplest is to carry on renting the equipment. You’re still covered for service and maintenance and if it’s still suitable for you and your business then why not carry on with it.
  • Send the equipment back. Our minimum rental terms range between 2 and 5 years. After this period, if you no longer need the equipment, then just send it back to us.
  • Swap your catering equipment for something new. If you want to keep up with the latest technology the marketplace has to offer, or you’re planning to make changes to your menu then you can swap your catering equipment for a newer version or something completely different at the end of your contract.
  • Buy your equipment. Like other contract rental services, your rental payments do not go towards paying off your equipment, however we do provide the option to purchase catering equipment at any point after one year at a discounted rate. The longer you rent the equipment for, the more the discounted rate goes up if you do want to purchase it.

Fixed cost payments

Our rental contracts are available with either weekly or monthly payments. Regardless of which option you choose, these payments remain fixed throughout the duration of the contract. With rising energy costs and price increases each year implemented across the industry for new equipment, renting your equipment provides a known fixed cost for your contract period and beyond. This provides you with a known costs for your kitchen equipment and helps you budget for your kitchen operation more accurately.

There are accounting benefits

If you purchase catering equipment you have invested capital in an asset. It goes on the books and will depreciate in value over time. Renting is an off-balance sheet solution which allows you save on up front costs and invest your capital elsewhere. What’s more, your rental payments can be tax deductible.
